MITMondays: Why Watching The Everyday Struggle has Become a Struggle

As of late watching The Everyday Struggle has been a struggle. Since I was listening to the Joe Budden Podcast before The Everyday Struggle I assumed it was going to be similar debates about music but I was sadly mistaken. I got nothing but love for Joe and Nadeska because they are actually competent when it comes to music. Akademiks on the other hand knows absolutely nothing but the "numbers". Not only does what Akademiks say on The Everyday Struggle makes the show hard to watch but what he posts on his social media platform only confirms how incompetent he is when it comes to music. I feel like the show was originally meant to be centered around music but it feels like it is becoming more of a pop culture show. Akademiks makes The Everyday Struggle hard to watch if we are being honest.

Akademiks claim to fame is his social media platform that is focused on artists' lifestyle instead of the actual content of the artists. When called out on it he got defensive saying that he actually talks about music. He was so much in his feeling he started spazzing out and threw his pens out of anger. He even got into it with Nadeska who was agreeing with him. Granted there is some truth to this statement, but it is not on his main social media platforms, Twitter and Instagram. The content where he talks about music is located on Twitch. I watched one of those music reviews and it was bad. Another instance where he was wrong about music was this past weekend. I wake up to see my TL in flames because Akademiks said Tha Carter III wasn't a classic. For many this was the last straw. His reasoning for that was the songs that were leaked were better than the tracks on the album. Also, Akademiks states the projects Wayne released around that time were better. While Tha Carter II is better that still doesn't negate Tha Carter III being a classic.

At the end of the day Akademiks is a lame. One thing that stood out to is when Wale said this is the first time anyone has ever seen your face which is facts. Vic Mensa really came on there and started off by saying if we were on the street I would slap the sh*t out of you. It would be in  Akademiks best interest to just go back behind the keyboard because he is definitely making a fool of himself on the platform Complex is giving him. As Always...
