MITMondays: Dreamville will be the Best Collective Very Soon.

On my way back home from North Carolina A&T's Homecoming I had a lot of time on my hands to discover some new music. I've always heard about EarthGang but never really dug into their music. I soon found out that these guys are no joke and it made my ticket purchase for the J.I.D. show well worth it. I also had the chance to check out Lute West music as well and it was fire too. J Cole has been cooking up lately and has been signing artists that will ultimately make Dreamville the best collective out here sooner rather than later.

As of right now it is clear that TDE is the best collective in the game right now but Dreamville is definitely on their heels. TDE has the star power and quality music right now with Kendrick, SZA, and Schoolboy Q leading the way. TDE also has talent that the mainstream doesn't really show love to while the underground loves. Those artists are Ab-Soul, Isaiah Rashad, and Jay Rock. While Dreamville's only big name as of right now is J. Cole they have a lot of talent that we need to be aware of. We all know about Bas, Cozz and Omen but over the past year and some change Cole has made some key additions. Starting with Ari Lennox and J.I.D. Ari is a songstress that is from the D.C. area who released an EP entitled PHO last year that was solid. J.I.D. is a rapper who popped up on my radar after he released his album The Never Story earlier this year. As previously mentioned EarthGang and Lute West round out this collective. After listening to all the new talent on Dreamville I wholeheartedly believe that they are on the verge of being great. Each artist brings something different to the table and are all hungry.

J. Cole has been stockpiling talent recently and I can wait to see how they move within the industry. Yes, TDE has the crown right now, but I can see Dreamville taking the top spot in a few years. J.I.D., EarthGang and Lute West will be in town on November 12 with Chaz French pulling up as well. That will definitely be a dope show and you'll see what I mean when I say Dreamville is up next. As Always... #DopeDelivery
