DMV TrackStars: Beat Competition & Show
Earlier this week, Made In the DMV hosted the DMV TrackStars: Beat Competition & Show. The event served as an outlet for producers and artists to showcase their talents. The show took place at The Blind Whino located in Southwest DC. Even though thunderstorms may have deterred some, those who made it out supplied nothing but good energy and dope vibes which definitely fueled the artists during their performances.
The event was spilt into two competitions, producers & artists, who were judged by a panel which included Rob Markman, Erin Simon, DJ MIm and others. What was a dope concept for the beat competition was that is essentially had a last man standing type feel to it. Producers went head to head until one finally emerged on top. And that producer happened to be Chaosgotbeats. The father to be was the ultimate showman making the most of his time on the stage giving him the edge over other producers. In between the two competitions, Made in the DMV surprised us with a performance from Malik the DOPE Drummer. If you don't know the name, I'm pretty sure you've seen his video go viral on all social media outlets. Now it was time for the artists, which featured a lot of dope performances from Nature Boi to Big Flock. But the artist that took home the crown was NKO x Tha Light who had a dope performance that captivated the crowd.
Made in the DMV provided a dope platform for artist and producers to put their talents on display. Special shoutout to The Blind Whino for supplying the venue. The event was a success and hopefully it continues to grow for years to come
